Do Thi Ha came to Nu village to help the villagers after the natural disaster.
In addition to donating cash, Miss Do Thi Ha also joined volunteers in meeting with and encouraging people affected by Typhoon Yagi.
Over the past two days, Miss Do Thi Ha visited Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, an area that suffered significant losses of life and property due to recent storms and floods.
Reportedly, Miss Vietnam 2020 and her charity group traveled for about 9 hours to reach the area most severely affected by Typhoon Yagi. Upon arrival, the beauty queen from Thanh Hoa was heartbroken to witness the scene of Nu village buried under mud and debris. Furthermore, along the edges of the muddy areas, there were incense burners where villagers were praying for the return of their loved ones.
Here, Miss Do Thi Ha spent time visiting, encouraging, and comforting families who had unfortunately lost loved ones. "Everyone was distraught, sad, and deeply traumatized by what had happened. I was incredibly moved by the stories of the people; some couldn't hide their grief and burst into tears when I asked them about it," the 23-year-old beauty said, her voice choked with emotion.
To boost morale and motivation for everyone, Do Thi Ha and her volunteer group not only distributed gifts but also donated 5 million VND to each household. The beauty queen from Thanh Hoa hopes that the people here will soon recover their spirits, stabilize their lives, and develop production.
Miss Vietnam 2020 expressed: "Natural disasters are truly devastating, turning someone who was living a comfortable life into a penniless and isolated individual. Hopefully, with the support and sharing from the government and people nationwide, the people of Nu village will soon recover and stabilize their lives. Let's continue to focus on Lao Cai and the North so that the people can overcome the aftermath of the storms and floods, stabilize their work, and children can return to school."
Earlier, Miss Do Thi Ha also visited Tuyen Quang province to provide further assistance to the local people. The 23-year-old beauty queen shared that she felt relieved that the floodwaters had receded and that, thanks to the support of the local authorities, people's lives were gradually recovering. In addition, Miss Vietnam 2020 continued to update on the damage caused by flash floods in Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province.
