The Nam Mo hydropower plant is expected to begin regulating the reservoir water level from 7 PM today (September 18).

The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense (PCTT-TKCN and PTDS) of Nghe An province has just received Notice No. 09/TB-EDCNA.NM.PCTT dated September 18, 2024, from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the release of water from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water release from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to release water from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:

Expected time for water release through the spillway gates:7:00 PM, September 18, 2024.

Discharge rate:The total expected discharge volume is approximately 140 m³.3/s up to 400 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and power generators, sand discharge gates) and may vary depending on inflow into the reservoir.
Expected time for water discharge through the spillway to end:
Until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 140 m.3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense announces to: the People's Committee of Ky Son District and the heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Area 2 to inform all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
