Pig price in the Northern region

In the North, the price of live pigs today, September 28, 2024, has decreased slightly, fluctuating from 68,000 to 70,000 VND/kg.

In Hanoi, Hung Yen and Hai Duong, the purchase price of live pigs is 70,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region.

In Bac Giang and Thai Binh, the price of live pigs has decreased by 1 price to 69,000 VND/kg.

In Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang, the price of live pigs decreased by 2 prices, to 68,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the price in Nam Dinh, the lowest level in the region.

Pig price in the Central Highlands region

In Khanh Hoa, the price of live pigs increased today, ranging from 64,000 to 68,000 VND/kg.

In Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, the purchase price of live pigs reached the highest level in the region, at 68,000 VND/kg.

The current purchase price of live pigs in Khanh Hoa is 65,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the price in Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.

Thua Thien Hue has the lowest purchase price in the region, at 64,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces and cities in the region are purchasing at prices ranging from 66,000 to 67,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the Southern region

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today increased slightly, ranging from 64,000 to 67,000 VND/kg.

Traders in Dong Thap, Dong Nai and Binh Duong are buying pigs at the highest price in the region of VND67,000/kg.

In Binh Phuoc, the price of live pigs also increased to 66,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the price in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Ben Tre.

Long An also recorded an increase in prices, with the purchase price of live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg, equal to An Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Ca Mau.

On the contrary, in Kien Giang, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, the purchase price of live pigs is the lowest in the region, at 64,000 VND/kg.

The live hog market is showing signs of stability in many places. After several days of sharp price increases in the North, prices have slightly decreased by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg and continued to increase slightly in other regions, with prices ranging from 64,000 to 70,000 VND/kg nationwide this morning.

Storm No. 3 has caused major damage to the livestock industry in the North, with more than 20,000 cattle culled and the risk of disease increased due to flooding. Providing enough pigs for Tet is difficult because the herd rebuilding period lasts at least 5 months, and it is now the 9th lunar month.

Pig prices have skyrocketed, reaching their highest level since the beginning of the year, around VND70,000/kg, especially in the North. Securities companies predict that pig prices will not decrease in the near future and may increase even higher as Tet approaches, which is beneficial for large livestock enterprises.
