Pig price in the Northern region

In the Northern region, the price of live pigs on October 3, 2024 increased slightly, with prices ranging from 64,000 to 69,000 VND/kg.

In Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang, the price of live pigs has increased to 69,000 VND/kg, the same price as in Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh and Hanoi city.

This price is also the highest recorded nationwide at the present time.

Other provinces such as Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh are trading live pigs at the price of 68,000 VND/kg.

Nationwide, pork prices today are more stable, ranging from 64,000 to 69,000 VND/kg.

Pig prices are rising, giving hope to farmers. Many farmers are wondering whether to expand their pig herds due to high costs and disease risks. The cost of raising a pig to market weighing about 100kg is between 4 and 5 million VND.
