Representatives of 67 universities attended the 2024 Young Scientists Conference at Vinh University

On the morning of October 5, in Vinh City, Vinh University in collaboration with the University of Law, Hue University organized the 2024 Young Scientists Conference with the theme "Improving the law to serve national digital transformation - Orientation, vision and research lessons for Vietnam".

The Young Scientists Conference is an annual activity, with the goal of creating an academic forum for young legal scientists to exchange and discuss the opportunities and challenges that Vietnamese law is facing.

The conference was chaired by: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong - Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University; Dr. Dinh Ngoc Thang - Rector of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vinh University; Dr. Chu Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Hanoi Law University; Associate Professor, Dr. Le Vu Nam, Vice Rector of the University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM City; Dr. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. In fact, Vietnam is undergoing a process of digital transformation and rapid modernization in many different fields. However, in addition to the positive impacts, digital transformation is facing many challenges and new issues that have not been regulated by law. Therefore, the theme of this year's Young Scientists Conference focuses on the difficulties in the period of national digital transformation in order to propose solutions and recommendations for improving the legal system and law enforcement in Vietnam.

In his opening speech at the Conference, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Luong - Rector of the University of Law, Hue University, Head of the Executive Board of the Network of Law Training Institutions in Vietnam acknowledged the great dedication and commitment of all young scientists as well as members of the network in the process of scientific research. Through this, Associate Professor Dr. also hopes that the Conference will provide many solutions and new legal aspects to have orientation, vision and lessons in the digital transformation period.

The conference was organized through 3 sessions, including 1 general session and 2 thematic sessions. The content discussed at the thematic sessions included: perfecting the law to serve national digital transformation and international experiences, artificial intelligence and legal issues in national digital transformation...

The sessions received many good presentations as well as opinions from young scientists and lecturers at law training institutions.

At the Conference, the Executive Board also announced and awarded the Decision to recognize Thanh Dong University as a member of the Vietnam Law Training Network (VLSN).
