From October 8 to November 3, 1427:Many battles took place between our army and the Ming invaders from Dong Quan (present-day Hanoi) to the Vietnam-China border, mainly in Chi Lang (Lang Son) and Xuong Giang (Bac Giang). After nearly a month, our army destroyed and captured about 220,000 reinforcements from the Ming. The victory at Chi Lang and Xuong Giang forced the Ming to withdraw the remaining troops and recognize our nation's independence.

October 8, 1946:The Government issued a decree to establish the Vietnamese Pedagogical Sector. To date, the sector has preschool, general, vocational and university teachers. The Pedagogical Sector has been awarded the First Class Independence Medal by the State.
