Three students were injured or killed in a collision with a truck.
At approximately 11:45 AM on October 8th, a traffic accident occurred on Ho Chi Minh Highway, in the Tan Huong commune, Tan Ky district (Nghe An province), resulting in the death of one student and injuries to two others.
At that time, three 11th-grade students (all residing in Nguyen Trai hamlet, Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district) were riding a motorbike with license plate 37N1-468.xx from Tan Ky High School to their home. Upon reaching the Ho Chi Minh Trail, in the section passing through Tan Huong commune, they collided with a sand-carrying truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The violent collision caused the three children to fall onto the road. Tr.VM, the driver of the motorbike, was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital, while the other two children sustained injuries and are currently receiving intensive treatment.
It is understood that this section of road is currently undergoing maintenance and repair.
The accident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
