Nghe An Red Cross Society coordinated to present gifts worth more than 300 million VND to people in flood-hit areas of Tuong Duong and Ky Son.
On October 9, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Thien Tam Red Cross Society, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City to give gifts to students and households affected by floods in Luong Minh Commune, Tuong Duong District and Xieng Thu Village, Chieu Luu Commune, Ky Son District.


At Luong Minh Ethnic Boarding School - Primary School, Tuong Duong district, the delegation presented a 65-inch TV worth 12 million VND, 2 semi-industrial water purifiers worth 30 million VND, 3 family water purifiers worth 10 million VND and 361 gifts to students including: warm clothes, school bags, supplements, notebooks, candy and 9 gifts for students in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 400 thousand VND; The total value of the gifts presented by the delegation was nearly 200 million VND.

At Xieng Thu village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 78 households, each gift including necessities and cash, worth from 700,000 to 5.5 million VND.


Of which, the delegation gave support to 4 households whose houses collapsed, 5 million VND each, 10 displaced households 2 million VND each, 14 affected households 1 million VND each; gave 50 gifts to poor households, each gift was 200 thousand VND in cash.

The total value of the gifts given by the delegation to Luong Minh and Chieu Luu communes is over 300 million VND./.
