Forest protection forces of the Tuong Duong Protective Forest Management Board (Nghe An province) have successfully rescued a mountain goat that was caught in a trap.

According to information from the Tuong Duong Protective Forest Management Board, at approximately 1 PM on October 11, 2024, during a routine forest patrol, forest protection forces discovered a mountain goat caught in a trap in the forest area of Sub-zone 697, Tam Hop commune. This is a protective forest area with a diverse ecosystem, and also a place where illegal hunting and trapping often occur.

The mountain goat is a rare and endangered animal, and its timely detection helped prevent it from suffering serious injury or being captured by poachers.

The successful rescue of the trapped mountain goat shows that, despite increased public awareness campaigns prohibiting the hunting and consumption of wild animals, illegal hunting still occurs. This means that forest protection forces, in addition to preserving and protecting forest resources, must also regularly rescue wild animals, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity in the area and the protection of a sustainable ecological environment.
