Nghe An won the Special Prize at the National "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024
Surpassing 40 startup projects participating in the national final round, the project "Nutrition ecosystem from green agricultural products" of Ms. Nguyen Thi Men - Director of Mom Beauty Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinh city) was evaluated and awarded the Special Prize at the National "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024.
On the morning of October 12, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women's Union held a ceremony to honor and award the finalists of the national competition "Women's creative startups and green transformation" in 2024.
Attending the ceremony to honor and award the prizes, on the Central side, there were comrades of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Duc Hai - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Ha Thi Nga - President of the Vietnam Women's Union; representatives of leaders of a number of central ministries, departments and branches.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union.

The 2024 “Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation” Competition will be organized nationwide by the Vietnam Women's Union from March 2024. This is the 6th year of the competition; it is one of the key activities of the Project “Supporting Women's Startups for the 2017-2025 Period” approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 939, dated June 30, 2017.
Responding to the 2024 “Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation” Competition, Nghe An Provincial Women's Union selected 5 ideas to participate in the competition; of which, 3 ideas were selected for the final round and won the Special Prize, Third Prize, and Encouragement Prize at the regional level in the Central region including 16 provinces.

Among the 3 winning ideas in the Central region by Nghe An women, the project "Nutritional ecosystem from green agricultural products" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Men - Director of Mom Beauty Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinh city) won the Special Prize and the startup project "Growing pennywort in the direction of circulating hydroponics" by Ms. Pham Thi Phuong (Cua Lo town) won the Third Prize; at the same time, it was selected to participate in the national final round with 40 startup projects in 3 regions: North, Central, South.
Of the 40 startup projects selected for the national finals, 25 are projects of enterprises and business households owned by women; 15 projects are projects of collective economic models (cooperatives and cooperative groups) managed by women and creating jobs for female workers. Of the 40 projects, 10 are startup projects targeting disadvantaged women and specific regions.

Based on 40 startup projects selected and awarded in 3 regions: North, Central, South participating in the national final round, the Jury of the competition evaluated and ranked the projects based on the principles of "transparency, equality, competition" with clear criteria, the evaluation level was adjusted towards increasing competitiveness, requiring increasingly high perfection and evaluating the maturity of the startup project.

As a result, the Organizing Committee of the contest awarded 1 Special Prize; 3 First Prizes; 5 Second Prizes; 7 Third Prizes and 25 Encouragement Prizes. The project "Nutritional ecosystem from green agricultural products" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Men - Director of Mom Beauty Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinh city) was awarded the Special Prize; The startup project "Growing pennywort in the direction of circulating hydroponics" by Ms. Pham Thi Phuong (Cua Lo town) won the Encouragement Prize.
The project “Nutrition ecosystem from green agricultural products” by Ms. Nguyen Thi Men - Director of Mom Beauty Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinh city), is a project to promote green consumption with growth rate and systematic business system design; from investment linkage and support for converting traditional farming areas to green production, recycling agricultural by-products into bio-fertilizers.
After more than 3 years of implementation, the project has 4 production facilities, 70 stores and more than 1,000 distributors in 43 provinces and cities nationwide. The highlight of the project is that through establishing a system combining online and offline business with a line of nutritious cereals and convenient cereals, it has contributed to promoting green consumption, safe processing and high nutritional value.

The 2024 “Women's Creative Startups and Green Transformation” Competition attracted 2,545 projects in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, manufacturing industry, education, healthcare, beauty technology, tourism, services, finance, etc.
There were 282 projects eligible to participate according to the competition regulations: The Provincial Women's Union selected a maximum of 5 projects and each agency and unit coordinated to select a maximum of 10 typical projects to introduce to participate in the preliminary, semi-final and final rounds in 3 regions: North, Central and South; of which, 40 projects continued to participate in the national final round.
