Con Cuong residents voluntarily dismantle kiosks to ensure land for Thanh Nam Bridge Project
In order to ensure the site for the Thanh Nam Bridge Project, on the morning of October 16, dozens of business households at Con Cuong market voluntarily dismantled the structures and assets at their trading kiosks.

After a long period of propaganda and mobilization by the local government, up to now, business households located in the clearance area at Con Cuong market have agreed to move to a new location.

Accordingly, 38 business households and 3 households living in the area from National Highway 7 to the bridge, on the right bank of Lam River, have handed over the land for the project. The town has supported people in building kiosk infrastructure at the new location. At the same time, during the clearance process, the town has arranged forces to support people in moving their assets and goods to the new business location.

With the determination of authorities at all levels and the consensus and active coordination from the people, the implementation of the liberation of kiosks at Con Cuong market will strive to be completed as soon as possible to promptly open Thanh Nam bridge, creating favorable conditions for people to circulate and exchange goods.

The Thanh Nam Bridge project across the Lam River (Con Cuong) began construction in September 2021 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023. However, due to difficulties in site clearance, Con Cuong district has proposed to Nghe An province to extend the deadline and has been approved by the province, with a deadline of the end of October 2024.
