On movie forums, audiences expressed disappointment when the movie "Walking in the Bright Sky" ended too quickly and blandly.

At the beginning of episode 58, the last episode of the movie Walking in the Bright Sky, Mr. Vinh organized a sumptuous meal, inviting all the children to announce the good news: He had found an investor for the herbal house project, creating job opportunities for the villagers. The investor was Ms. Trang Dai, Mr. Vinh's old classmate.

Everyone was happy, except for Quang who was still hesitant. Thanks to Le's encouragement, Quang stood up to speak: first, he apologized to Trang Dai for his previous inappropriate words and actions. He also thanked her for accompanying his father in the project and hoped that she would stick with his father for a long time, not just in work.

Regarding the project, Mr. Vinh said that Pu's parents would be the focal point, as they were the first people to help him find herbs. Pu shared that this was her dream. Mr. Vinh also said that he had hired a car to take everyone back to the village. Everyone raised their glasses to celebrate the project's success.

After the party, Pu, Chai, Quang, Thai and Ta went out to the yard to talk. They all forgot about the misunderstandings and past events. Pu declared that she used to hate Chai and only considered Thai as a friend, but now she still considered Thai as a friend and no longer hated Chai.

That night, the three sisters Le, Nhu and Pu slept in the same bed and talked a lot. When Nhu and Le asked about the winding road to the village, Pu said that she did not see any winding road, only the green of corn fields and mountains.

The car took the group back to the village. Everyone was happy, especially Pu, Chai and Ta - who had not been home for a long time.

Ghen ran to inform the villagers that Pu and Chai had returned. Meanwhile, Mr. Chieu was busy looking at the homestay model in the neighboring village. Chai was anxiously urging his father to come back quickly because he had brought his daughter-in-law home.

Amidst the vast mountains and hills, Chai thought back to his story. As a boy born and raised in the village, if there was only one way out of the village, then he would have only one love for Pu. But in the past, Pu had rejected Chai because he had not done anything for his family, let alone the villagers. After that, Chai left the village and his family to pursue his love for Pu.

At the end of the episode, Pu confided: "There is only one road out of the village, and we children take that road at different times with different dreams." She remembered her dream of going to university to return to help the villagers. She firmly believed that when she had a university degree in hand, she would return, because going is to grow up, growing up is to return, and returning is to build the homeland.

Chai also shared: "When I left, I was a guy who didn't know what to do, but now I can do everything to take care of my family and Chieu's father. When I left the village, I ran after Pu, and now everyone look, Pu is following me back to the village!"

The movie "Walking in the Bright Sky" ended at episode 58. Next will be the movie "How Much Does Youth Cost?", broadcast at 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday every week on VTV3 channel, starting from October 21, 2024.

The ending was too quick and unimpressive.

The audience felt disappointed because the ending of the movie "Walking in the Glorious Sky" was too hasty and unimpressive.

Many people think that Pu, Chai and Ta's return to their homeland is not appropriate. The characters' dialogue carries a strong message, but is not suitable for the context of the story.

Specifically, Pu is only a first-year student and has not achieved any significant academic achievements. Since coming to Hanoi, she has been caught up in trivial matters with her two roommates and her ambiguous relationship with Thai, instead of focusing on her studies to pursue her dream of building her homeland. Therefore, her warm welcome upon her return and the formal dialogues are considered cliché and forced.

Likewise, Chai fails to convince the audience that he is mature and able to support his family, when his only jobs in the city are driving a motorbike taxi and working as a delivery man. Furthermore, the situation where Pu and her group of friends visit their hometown does not match the dialogue that she "followed Chai's call of love."

Previously, the film was also criticized for many plot holes. The acting of Thu Ha Ceri (Pu) and Vuong Anh Ole (Thai) also caused a lot of controversy.

The absurd details in the final episode have made many viewers think that Di Giua Troi Ruc Rot is one of the failed Vietnamese films. Criticisms include:

  • "I don't understand the message the movie wants to send to the audience."
  • “If the scene in the village where Pu graduated as a pharmacist and Ta and Chai were the two fashion chain owners would be better.”
  • “Worst script I've ever seen.”
  • “Congratulations on winning worst movie on the planet.”
  • “The ending is bland and absurd. Pu and Chai have not changed significantly but have returned to their hometown, it feels like they have been stuffed with philosophy in a ridiculous way.”
