Quy Hop voters petitioned on issues related to granting certificates of land use rights, clean water, and traffic infrastructure.

On October 23, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with voters before the regular session at the end of 2024, the 18th Provincial People's Council at the headquarters of Minh Hop commune, Quy Hop district.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council reported to voters the expected agenda of the 2024 year-end session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; summarized the socio-economic development situation in 2024, key tasks and solutions in 2024.

At the meeting, 16 voters raised 34 issues, in which voter Ho Van Tiep, Truong Xa hamlet, Minh Hop commune, proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the recovery of land from Forestry Farms to hand over to the people for production and create conditions for people to complete the procedures for granting Land Use Right Certificates.

Voter Dang Ngoc Hoan, Trung Hong hamlet and many voters petitioned to pay attention to clean water supply; reflected that many traffic routes, bridges, and culverts were degraded, damaged, unfinished, slow in construction, affecting people's lives or had not been invested in construction.

Voter Dinh Van Duong, Minh Loi hamlet, reported the panic among the people when their crops were damaged, and requested the competent authorities to investigate and clarify. Many voters in Minh Hop commune were also concerned about the priority for the elderly when going to the doctor or receiving their pension. Voter Tran Thi Nga, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Hop commune, requested People's Councils at all levels to pay attention to resolving problems related to training regimes and business trips for non-professional officials at the commune level. Voter Pham Xuan Quan, Principal of Minh Hop Primary School, proposed building a multi-purpose house to build a level 2 national standard school.

Voter Nguyen Thi Nhung, Minh Hong hamlet, reported that low-voltage power lines still exist in the gardens of many households. Voter Le Viet Minh - Director of Xuan Thanh Agricultural Company requested the People to hand over the transformer station to the Electricity Department for management. In addition, voters also reported the unsanitary food situation at school gates, environmental pollution at livestock farms...

After listening to voters' opinions, leaders of Quy Hop District People's Committee, representatives of some departments and offices of the District People's Committee and Commune People's Committee answered and clarified the contents under their authority.

Speaking and receiving voters' opinions, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nhu Khoi thanked voters for their opinions and requested the District People's Committee to focus on implementing the contents reflected by voters; at the same time, discuss and clarify issues of concern to voters, and will forward voters' opinions and recommendations to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

*On the same day, delegates of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, including Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Vi Van Quy - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Quy Hop district met with voters.Quy Hop town and communes: Chau Quang, Chau Dinh, Tho Hop.

Voters of 4 communes of Quy Hop district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider adjusting the allowance levels for the merged blocks, because the allowances of the block with 250 households and the block with 115 households are not fair. Voters of the blocks in Quy Hop town proposed that the Provincial People's Committee and the District People's Committee advise the Provincial People's Council to issue a resolution to change the names of the blocks in the town; approve the expansion of the cemetery planning to the East of the town and make a detailed plan for early use, because the current cemetery is overloaded.

Town voters also requested the People's Council, Provincial and District People's Committees to pay attention to investing in building a bypass road through the town to reduce the number of heavy trucks passing through the town center, in order to ensure traffic safety in the area.

At the same time, the town's voters recommended that recently, the local people have received written information from the District People's Committee and the Town People's Committee, warning about the quality of the raw water source input to the Quy Hop Water Plant's water supply station, which is seriously polluted with 20 times more heavy metal arsenic and other substances, and recommending that people limit the use of tap water. In fact, for nearly 8 years now, the local people have been very upset and have made many recommendations. It is recommended that the competent authorities require the Quy Hop Water Supply Station to change the raw water source input so that people can use clean water; The issuance and exchange of Land Use Right Certificates is still slow and faces many difficulties.

The opinions of voters within the authority were specifically explained by Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the province, the representative of the Provincial People's Council and the leaders of Quy Hop district and town. Regarding issues not within the authority, representative Hoang Quoc Viet promised to convey the recommendations of voters of the localities of Quy Hop district to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and resolution at the upcoming session.
