Handing over the task of running the work of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee
On the morning of October 28, in Vinh city, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a conference to hand over the task of running the work of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
Attending the Conference were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending were comrades representing the leaders of Party Committees, the Central Inspection Committee, comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee Office.
Pursuant to the Party Charter, Regulation No. 24-QD/TW dated July 30, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on the implementation of the Party Charter and regulations of the Central Committee and the Politburo; Decision No. 1620-QDNS/TW, dated October 25, 2024 of the Politburo on the transfer and appointment of the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, Working Regulation No. 18-QC/TU, dated April 19, 2024 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, at the conference, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Commission, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee handed over the task to Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to manage the work of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee until the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is completed according to the Regulation.
Accordingly, there are 7 handover contents such as: Regarding the tasks of the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; regarding the dissemination and direction of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo; regarding the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, the full-term and annual work program of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; the arrangement and consolidation of the organizational apparatus, streamlining of the payroll according to the resolutions of the Central Committee and the conclusions of the Politburo; regarding the staff and other contents according to regulations.
The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee witnessed the handover and unanimously approved the handover contents.
Previously, in Decision 1620-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024, the Politburo decided that comrade Thai Thanh Quy - member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of the province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.
The conference to implement Decision 1620-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024. The Politburo held the Central Economic Commission on the afternoon of October 26 in Hanoi.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Commission Thai Thanh Quy expressed his sincere and deep thanks for the important companionship, sharing and support of the comrades in the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, the agencies and units in the province, the specialized cadres and officials in charge of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee who accompanied and supported him in completing his recent work tasks and hoped to continue to receive their sharing in the upcoming work process.
Handing over his work to take on a new assignment, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy shared 4 happy things. In particular, the first thing is that in recent times, Nghe An has built a united and unified collective for a common goal, especially in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and Standing Committee.
That solidarity and unity has been transformed into the collective's will and determination to lead many issues, especially major, sensitive, strategic, and long-term issues for the province's development process such as: focusing on key investments; saying no to hydropower development in the West; limiting and not extending mineral exploitation licenses, except for common construction materials; not granting licenses to build apartments in the core area of Vinh city, minimizing local planning adjustments; focusing on development in the East to pull the West; developing the East is the driving force, the West is sustainable...
Along with that, the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee focused on directing and completing a number of major tasks such as: Summarizing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020 and the Politburo issued Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; The National Assembly issued Resolution No. 36, 137 to pilot a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the province's development; announced the provincial planning; invested in and completed a number of key connecting infrastructures of the province.

The new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, Thai Thanh Quy, hopes that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, cohesion, and unity to build the province to develop more and more; continue to pursue, lead, and direct the completion of key, strategic tasks that are in the process of implementation such as: Starting the construction of Cua Lo Deepwater Port; Expanding Vinh International Airport; creating stronger changes in administrative reform, especially in the awareness and public ethics of cadres and civil servants...
