Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province attended the Great Unity Day in Quy Hop district

On the morning of November 8, comrade Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province attended the Great Unity Festival at hamlet 2, Nam Son commune, Quy Hop district.

Hamlet 2 is 1 km from the center of Nam Son commune, with a natural area of ​​1,400 hectares. There are a total of 95 households with 373 people; 100% are Thai ethnic group living together in solidarity, harmony, building the village, and increasingly renewing it.

In 2024, the whole hamlet will have 26 hectares of rice fields, with an average yield of 6 tons/ha/year. 1,150 hectares of natural forests will be protected and 210 hectares of planted forests will be taken care of. Thanks to the development of afforestation, many households have good incomes and spacious, clean, and beautiful houses. Up to now, the whole hamlet has 61 well-off households, accounting for 64%; 14 near-poor households, accounting for 15%; 20 poor households, accounting for 21%.

The whole hamlet has 78 households achieving the title of Cultural Family, an increase of 7% compared to 2023. The number of families achieving the title of Typical Family for 3 years is 30 households, an increase of 4 households compared to 2023. Cultural, artistic, and sports movements are always responded to and enthusiastically participated by the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province praised the achievements that the people of hamlet 2, Nam Son commune have achieved in recent years. Despite many difficulties, mainly ethnic minorities, however, the people always strive to do well in the economy, contributing to building a prosperous homeland.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province presented gifts to the people of Hamlet 2, Nam Son Commune, including pictures of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton, 5 million VND in cash. In addition, 10 gifts were given to 10 poor households; 330 warm clothes were given to students of Chau Son Primary School.

Quy Hop district also donated 3 million VND to hamlet 2 and 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to 10 poor households in Nam Son commune from the District Fund for the Poor.
