Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu joins in the Great Solidarity Festival with the people of Tuong Duong district

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the National Great Unity Day and announced the decision that Co Phao village, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district met the new rural standards.

Building new rural standard villages

At the festival, the people of Co Phao village together reviewed the history and glorious traditions of their village.Vietnam Fatherland Frontand evaluate 1 year of implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

Co Phao Village, Yen Na Commune, Tuong Duong District has a total natural area of ​​844.56 hectares. The terrain here is complex, mainly hills and mountains, the village is located 13 km from the commune center; there are 2 ethnic groups living together, Thai and Kinh; there are 83 households with 308 people. The economic life of the people mainly depends on livestock and farming.

Over the past year, the cadres and people of Co Phao village have promoted the spirit of solidarity and strived to effectively implement the contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas". The villagers have united to participate in economic development, actively helped each other to sustainably reduce poverty, improve their lives, and encourage legitimate enrichment.

Notably, the socio-economy has made significant progress, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved; social security has been taken care of; the rate of well-off households has increased and the rate of poor households has decreased.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the village has mobilized resources from the people such as: contributing working days, contributing money to buy materials, donating land, donating trees...

Up to now, 100% of village and hamlet roads and inter-village roads with a length of 4.2 km have been paved, ensuring convenient car travel all year round.

100% of children go to school according to age regulations; the rate of junior high school graduates continuing to high school is 100%.

Since 2005, the village has maintained the title of “Cultural Village”; the percentage of households assessed as meeting the “Cultural Family” standard is 92.8%. The percentage of households practicing a civilized lifestyle is 100%.

Villagers are always informed about the State's laws and policies and the village and hamlet's covenants. The natural environment is green, clean, and beautiful; the social environment is healthier. Neighborhood relationships are closer, united, loving, and helping each other.

In addition, the people in the village have many activities to preserve and promote the national cultural identity; well implement the regulations on weddings, funerals, festivals; ensure social order and safety, traffic safety. The activities of Party committees, Party cells, political and social organizations in residential areas are increasingly improved,...

In particular, in 2024, Co Phai village was assessed and recognized as a new rural village by competent authorities.

Promoting the strength of national solidarity

Sharing joy with the people of Co Phao village at the festival, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu expressed his joy at the positive changes in the appearance of the village; commended the results and achievements that the cadres and people of Co Phao village have achieved in the past year, especially Co Phao village was recognized for achievingnew rural areasin 2024.

These results are concrete and vivid evidence of the consensus, joint efforts and unanimity of the people, Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and local political organizations.

Emphasizing that solidarity is a precious tradition, an important factor creating the strength of our nation, which has been nurtured throughout the history of building and defending the country, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that the cadres and people of Co Phao village will continue to promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc, creating an endogenous strength to overcome difficulties and challenges to together build a prosperous village and a rich and beautiful homeland; self-reliant, confident, effectively applying the support policies and regimes from the State to escape poverty and get rich.

At the same time, preserve, conserve and promote traditional ethical values, national identity, cultural and civilized lifestyle; maintain the title of Cultural Village; build a healthy living environment; eliminate backward customs; care about culture, education and people's health.

The community promotes democracy, maintains discipline, the people live and work according to the Constitution and the law; well implements the regulations on grassroots democracy, community conventions and covenants, mobilizes everyone and every household in the community to participate in the movement to prevent crimes and social evils; ensures security and order in the area.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that local Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations should pay attention to propagating and mobilizing people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; carry out the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas", patriotic emulation movements, and increasingly develop the homeland, with the motto "If the commune is strong, the district is strong; if the district is strong, the province is strong; if the province is strong, the country will develop strongly".

Along with that, continue to prioritize the allocation of resources to invest in and synchronously develop infrastructure, especially in transportation, energy, information and communication, commercial services, healthcare, education, clean water, culture, sports... to create conditions to promote socio-economic development, narrow the gap between villages and hamlets; between the lowlands and the highlands.

Promoting the tradition of drinking water and remembering the source, eating fruit and remembering the person who planted the tree, the spirit of mutual love and support, helping the families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions; joining hands for the poor; helping the lonely elderly, orphans with no one to rely on, the unfortunate, those at risk, those in trouble, and those less fortunate in life; ensuring that all people enjoy the fruits of innovation and development, leaving no one behind.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to continue to further promote its role in gathering the strength of great national unity, being a bridge of trust between the people and the Party committees and authorities; creating consensus among the people to successfully complete the political, economic, cultural and social tasks of the locality.
