At the conference summarizing the coordination of propaganda work on the sea and islands in 2024 and implementing tasks for 2025, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Command of Naval Region 1 for its contributions to propaganda work on the sea and islands in the past period.

On November 8th, in Tuyen Quang city, the Command of Naval Region 1, in coordination with the Propaganda Departments of the Provincial Party Committees of six provinces including Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Hung Yen, and Tuyen Quang, organized a conference to review the results of coordinated propaganda work on the sea and islands in 2024 and to implement tasks for 2025.

The conference was attended by Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van - Political Commissar of Naval Region 1; Rear Admiral Vu Van Nam - Commander of Naval Region 1, along with representatives and specialists from the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees of 6 provinces; representatives from the Navy Command and officers and soldiers of the Regional Command Headquarters.

In 2023, the coordination of maritime and island propaganda between the Command of Naval Region 1 and the Propaganda Departments of the Provincial Party Committees was implemented according to plan, with a number of flexible and effective approaches; contributing to consolidating and raising awareness, consciousness, and responsibility of all levels, sectors, cadres, soldiers, and the people, further motivating the successful implementation of the political tasks of agencies and units; creating a combined strength in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands, and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment at sea.

Through coordinated propaganda efforts regarding the sea and islands with local authorities, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 1 have favorable conditions to study, train, and improve their qualities, capabilities, and skills in all aspects; to absorb the positive cultural values ​​of each locality, further perfect their character and personality, and meet the requirements of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnamese People's Navy.

The Propaganda Departments of the Provincial Party Committees promptly advised provincial leaders, directed relevant agencies, and organized for reporters from newspapers and radio stations to infiltrate and write news articles reflecting the activities of officers and soldiers of the Region and the local people in the areas where they were stationed; contributing to improving practical knowledge and effectively serving propaganda work in the localities.

Many forms of coordinated propaganda have been effectively implemented, such as programs and models like: "Accompanying fishermen in staying at sea," "The Navy sponsoring fishermen's children"; coordinating the organization of visits, encouragement, and reporting by officials and reporters from central and local news agencies, newspapers, and radio stations to units of the Navy's Region 1.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing best practices and innovative approaches adopted by localities in disseminating information about the sea and islands. They also analyzed and clarified existing shortcomings in this area, proposing solutions to improve this work in 2025.

Concluding the conference, Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van - Political Commissar of Naval Region 1 - requested that the Propaganda Departments of the provinces continue to enhance their responsibility and leadership capacity in directing and organizing propaganda activities on the sea and islands; continue to innovate and improve the quality of the team of speakers and the content, form, and methods of propaganda; agencies and units should proactively exchange information with localities to select and implement specific, practical actions in a comprehensive, in-depth, and broad manner with a focus on key points and widespread impact among the people regarding the Party and State's policies on the sea and islands, and the work of defending the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland; continue to effectively carry out oral propaganda; and pay attention to, care for, and improve the knowledge of the sea and islands for the team of speakers.

The Propaganda Departments of the provinces need to strengthen the exchange and provision of information, and the interaction between the Command of Naval Region 1 and the Provincial Command, and study options for online connectivity in maritime and island propaganda to increase the number and scope of information disseminated. At the same time, they should promote attracting resources for building a modern navy; organize delegations from the provinces to visit and encourage the military and civilians in Truong Sa island district, officers and soldiers at the DK1 platform, islands, and coastal radar stations...

On this occasion, the Navy awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 3 individuals; the Command of Naval Region 1 awarded Certificates of Commendation to 9 collectives and 12 individuals for their outstanding achievements in coordinating maritime and island propaganda work in 2024.

Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Command of Naval Region 1 for its contributions to the dissemination of information about the sea and islands in the past period.

On this occasion, the Naval Region 1 also presented a Solidarity House to a poor household in Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province.
