Recently, the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) approved the Vietnamese national team's request to change their home stadium for the 2024 AFF Cup, from My Dinh Stadium to Viet Tri Stadium.

According to regulations from the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF), My Dinh Stadium is not allowed to host any events for at least 21 days before the tournament to ensure the quality of the pitch and other related issues. Therefore, the VFF had to change the venue to Viet Tri Stadium, which was approved by the AFF.

At the 2024 AFF Cup, the Vietnamese national team is in Group B, facing Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, and Myanmar. According to the schedule, in the group stage of the 2024 AFF Cup, coach Kim Sang Sik's team will play two home matches against Indonesia (December 15th) and Myanmar (December 21st) at Viet Tri Stadium.

Red alert for Hojlund, Zirkzee

Striker duo Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee reportedly have only six months to convince manager Ruben Amorim to keep them at Manchester United.

Manchester United faced significant difficulties in scoring goals in the 2024/25 season, despite heavy investment in two talented young strikers. Hojlund arrived at Old Trafford from Atalanta for £72 million in the summer of 2023. A year later, the Red Devils decided to add Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for £36.5 million in the summer of 2024.

Therefore, MU's attacking duo only have until the summer to prove their worth and show that they deserve the club's significant investment. Conversely, Viktor Gyokeres is highly likely to be brought to Old Trafford if Hojlund and Zirkzee continue to disappoint.

Former striker Dimitar Berbatov believes Gyokeres is a suitable option, potentially following Amorim to Old Trafford. The £58 million-valued center forward has scored 23 goals and provided 4 assists in 17 games this season.

British media suggest that Hojlund has a chance to shine under Amorim's guidance due to his similar playing style to Gyokeres. However, the 21-year-old striker needs to improve his finishing skills and be more clinical with his chances.

Things are more unpredictable for Zirkzee. The Dutch striker is going through a difficult period and it's unclear what his preferred position is. If MU signs Gyokeres, one of the two players, Hojlund or Zirkzee, will have to make way.

Former South Korean national team goalkeeping coach Lee Woon Jae has joined the Vietnamese national team as goalkeeping coach. This is good news not only for the VFF and coach Kim Sang Sik, but also for the team's goalkeepers such as Filip Nguyen, Dang Van Lam, etc.
