Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tien Tri, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, emphasized: In recent years, Nghe An province has been changing strongly to develop its economy and society. Large investors and large projects are coming to Nghe An more and more. Projects that have been operating in the Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks have also gradually changed to keep up with the new situation as well as to better meet the relevant legal regulations.
Accumulated to the end of October 2024, Dong Nam Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Nghe An province have 318 valid projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 164,805.5 billion; of which there are 223 domestic projects with a total capital of VND 59,018.9 billion and 95 FDI projects with a total capital of VND 105,786.6 billion equivalent to USD 4.539 billion.
Along with the strong development of industrial zones, the pressure on the environment is also increasing, requiring all state agencies, businesses and people to have a new approach, suitable to the trend of the times.

In the period of 2022 - 2023, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone organized training conferences, disseminated and guided the new regulations of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020. After the conference, many problems and difficulties in the implementation process were resolved and answered.
However, in 2023 and 2024, through inspections, 4 enterprises were fined for administrative violations in the field of environmental protection with a total fine of more than 2 billion VND. The main reason for this situation is that many units have not really paid attention to and arranged personnel responsible for monitoring environmental protection work.

Therefore, through the training program, delegates can grasp the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection and related decrees and circulars; propose business leaders to implement greener and cleaner production solutions, promote responsibility for environmental protection, and join hands with the management board of the park to complete the task of transforming industrial parks to meet the criteria of green economy and circular economy.
Attending the program, delegates were introduced to 3 main topics by lecturers from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment: Green economy, circular economy: Inevitable trend of environmental protection and sustainable development; Developing circular economic models in a number of industries and fields in Vietnam; Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP of the Government on regulations on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of environmental protection and some practical issues in applying regulations... This is an opportunity for investment project owners and facility owners to fully grasp the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection for implementation.

At the conference, agencies and businesses shared and had their problems and difficulties in the implementation of environmental protection laws resolved.
