The 24th session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council approved many important contents.

Attending the meeting were comrades Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired and ran the meeting.

Passed 4 thematic resolutions

The Provincial People's Council has dismissed the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and terminated the duties of Provincial People's Council delegate for comradeThai Thanh Quy- Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, after being mobilized and assigned by the Central Committee to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Committee and elected comradeHoang Nghia Hieu- The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee holds the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council to meet the requirements of directing and operating activities.

This session also dismissed comrade Ton Thien Phuong from the position of Provincial People's Council delegate due to being transferred and appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the Inspection Magazine, Supreme People's Procuracy; dismissed comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa from the position of Provincial People's Committee member due to being transferred and assigned to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and elected comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa as a member of the Provincial People's Committee.Le Thi Hoai Chung- Director of Department of Health.

Personnel work has been carried out strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws, achieving high consensus and unanimity among provincial People's Council delegates.

In addition to personnel work, the meeting passed 4 specialized Resolutions to create a legal basis for the implementation of important projects that have an impact on the socio-economic development of localities as well as the province; supplement capital in the list of medium-term public investment plans for the period 2021-2025 from the central budget for important projects that have completed investment procedures to allocate annual capital according to regulations; invest in purchasing specialized medical equipment to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment at Nghe An Oncology Hospital.

Focus on careful preparation for the regular year-end meeting of the Provincial People's Council

In his closing speech, on behalf of the Provincial People's Council, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu requested: The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council completes the dossier and submits it to the National Assembly Standing Committee for approval of the dismissal and election of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council in accordance with the law. The Provincial People's Committee, relevant levels, sectors, localities and units focus on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions so that the resolutions just passed can soon be effective.

There is not much time left from now until the regular meeting at the end of 2024. The Provincial People's Council requests the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to urgently complete the draft resolution documents to submit to the year-end meeting and send them to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for direction of the Provincial People's Council Committees to review according to the assignment. Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to seriously send representatives to attend the review meetings according to the correct composition.

The regular meeting at the end of 2024 of the Provincial People's Council with the largest workload ever, many contents are very important, especially the consideration and approval of resolutions detailing Resolution No. 137/2024/QH15 on supplementing a pilot of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province and approving the socio-economic development plan for 2025 - the year that determines the results of implementing the socio-economic development goals set by the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

With that in mind, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu requested that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council uphold their sense of responsibility, access the documents submitted to the session early to study and give opinions at the session, contributing to promoting collective intelligence, improving the quality and effectiveness of the session; at the same time, listen to the opinions, recommendations, and legitimate and urgent aspirations of voters to reflect and convey to the Provincial People's Council session.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Council Committees to prepare well for the work of examining reports and draft resolutions submitted to the session according to their assigned tasks to ensure quality; proactively and thoroughly review draft resolutions by field after examination, acceptance and explanation of the drafting agencies before submitting them to the session of the Provincial People's Council.

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024) and the Day of Great National Unity, on behalf of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province sent the best wishes to the staff of the Front at all levels of the province and thanked the Fatherland Front at all levels for their companionship and support for the activities of the People's Council, strengthening the connection between elected representatives and voters and people of the province.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu sent his congratulations and gratitude to teachers and those working in the education sector of Nghe An province on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024) and praised the contributions of the education sector of Nghe An province in promoting the cause of education development, building the reputation and brand of education in Nghe An province.
