Pepper price today 1/12: Continue to increase strongly
Pepper prices today (December 1) fluctuated between 143,000 - 145,000 VND/kg, continuing to increase by 1,500 - 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Survey shows that pepper prices continue to increase by 1,500 - 2,000 VND/kg in key localities, fluctuating between 143,000 - 145,000 VND/kg.
Of which, pepper prices in the two provinces of Dak Lak and Dak Nong were purchased at the highest level of 145,000 VND/kg, up 1,500 and 2,000 VND/kg respectively compared to yesterday.
Pepper prices in Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces also increased by VND1,500/kg, to VND144,000/kg.
Similarly, pepper purchase price in Binh Phuoc stood at 144,000 VND/kg, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg.
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, pepper price today stands at 143,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,500 VND/kg.

World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 6,627 USD/ton (up 0.05%), and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,143 USD/ton (up 0.13%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,150/ton (up 1.63%). The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,400/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,500/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices today decreased slightly, trading at 6,200 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,500 USD/ton; white pepper prices at 9,400 USD/ton.
Pepper area in Dak Nong currently reaches 34,000 hectares, with an average yield of about 2.4 tons/hectare, annual output reaching about 70,000 tons.
Dak Nong province has 547 hectares of organically certified pepper and 332 hectares applying GAP procedures. The province aims to develop sustainable pepper cultivation on 34,000 hectares by 2025, with an output of 52,000 tons, and reach 33,000 hectares by 2030, with an output of 60,000 tons.
Dak Nong Agriculture Sector has implemented many sustainable pepper production models, adapting to climate change and bringing positive results.
According to Mr. Le Hoang Vinh, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dak Song district, this district has an area of over 15,000 hectares of pepper, the largest production area in the province. People are increasingly focusing on sustainable pepper production, with organic pepper production cooperatives being formed. Local pepper has improved its position in the market.
With organic pepper, the selling price is 25% higher than conventional pepper, and the cost of cultivation is about 20 million VND lower per hectare than chemical methods. However, organic farming requires more effort and meticulousness.
