Nghe An Red Cross Society held a meeting with emulation cluster No. 2 and presented gifts to poor households
On December 3, in Tuong Duong district, the Provincial Red Cross Association held a meeting of emulation cluster No. 2 and presented gifts to poor households in Tuong Duong district.
The conference evaluated the results of the Red Cross activities and movements in 2024 of the Red Cross Associations of the districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Yen Thanh, Do Luong and Tan Ky.
Emulation cluster No. 2 currently has 174 association bases, 1,403 branches, 17,038 members, 1,559 volunteers and 29,092 Red Cross youth, operating in accordance with the Association's Charter and State regulations and rules.
In 2024, the Red Cross in cluster 2 did a good job of advising the Party committee and local authorities, directing and implementing activities well and improving the quality, innovating the content of the association's activities, promoting humanitarian movements... As a result, 13 billion 951 million VND was mobilized in humanitarian fields.
Previously, the Emulation Cluster No. 2 Meeting organized a visit to and gave livelihoods to 4 households in difficult circumstances in Thach Giam town, Tuong district. Also at the meeting, the Red Cross Society reviewed the emulation titles in 2024; at the same time, deployed the tasks for 2025 with the theme of the year "Promoting the emulation movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community", welcoming the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress". The immediate task is to focus on implementing well the movements "Humane Tet" Spring At Ty 2025", "Pink Spring Festival", "Millions of Compassionate Steps" to achieve high results.
