Police raided and arrested a group of people illegally mining gold in the deep forest.
On December 4, authorities caught 5 people illegally mining gold.
The illegal gold mining area is located deep in the forest in Mai Chau district, bordering Ba Thuoc district (Thanh Hoa) and Tan Lac district (Hoa Binh). The dangerous road makes it difficult toapproach the sceneencountered many difficulties.

Specifically, through the work of grasping the situation, Mai Chau District Police discovered many subjects taking advantage of the deep and dangerous forest area, setting up camps, bringing vehicles and machinery into the area of Na Lut hamlet, Thanh Son commune, Mai Chau district to mine gold.
At 2:30 p.m. on November 22, a working group of Mai Chau District Police raided the above location and caught 5 subjects in the act of illegal gold mining.

The subjects include: Bui Dinh M. (54 years old), residing in Hanoi; Ban Tien H. (59 years old), residing in Hoa Binh City; Ha Van B. (48 years old), residing in Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province; Bui Van X. (33 years old) and Dinh Van H. (44 years old), both residing in Van Son commune, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh. Initially, the leader was identified as Bui Dinh M.
At the scene, the police seized 1 dynamo, 1 sack of zinc wire, 1 sack containing Na3PO4.12H2O (detergent), 4 sacks of Jinchan (a chemical that replaces Cyanide - a toxic substance used in the process of extracting gold from ore) and several other chemicals.
During the working process, the police force combined propaganda and explained to the group of subjects about legal regulations on mineral exploitation activities, and committed not to participate in illegal mineral exploitation activities.
The case is being handled by the authorities in coordination with regulations.
