December 7, 1320:General Pham Ngu Lao passed away. He was born in 1255 in Phu Ung village, An Thi district, Hung Yen province. He was the son-in-law of Tran Hung Dao (Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan). He was a general with great contributions in the resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol in the 13th century. Under the reign of King Tran Anh Tong, he also made many achievements at the southern border and was awarded the title of Dien Soai Thuong Tuong Quan.

December 7, 1895:Nguyen Cong Tru passed away. He was born in 1778, from Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province. He studied hard but it was not until he was 42 that he passed the exam and became an official under the Nguyen dynasty. He became an official of the Ministry of Justice and General, and was sometimes demoted to a soldier at the border, but he remained loyal to the Nguyen dynasty. When he was Dinh Dien Su, he had the merit of recruiting people to reclaim wasteland, establishing two districts, Kim Son (Ninh Binh) and Tien Hai (Thai Binh).
