The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Hai Phong City People's Committee and related units. Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hai Phong City and the Embassies of ASEAN countries; painters, artists and tourists from many countries around the world.

The exhibition displays 151 works by 131 authors selected from 530 works by 283 authors sent to participate from 10 ASEAN member countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam with creative themes about natural landscapes, country; human life and cooperation, solidarity, friendship...

The works on display are diverse and rich in materials and genres, including: paintings, prints, one-of-a-kind paintings, relief and engravings on paper, fabric, wood, metal, rubber, mica, decals, etc.

Outstanding works were awarded prizes, including 1 First prize, 3 Second prizes, 5 Third prizes and 7 Encouragement prizes.

Head of the Fine Arts Department of the Nghe An Provincial Literature and Arts Association, painter Nguyen Dinh Truyen attended the Exhibition with the paper-cut painting "Soldier on the construction site", size: 150 cm x 90 cm. This painting won the C prize of the 2023 North Central Regional Fine Arts Exhibition; First prize of the Contest for Promoting Journalism and Literature and Art on the topic of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An province; Second prize of the Central Propaganda Department for the Contest for Promoting Journalism and Literature and Art on studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.

The ASEAN Graphic Arts Exhibition is held every four years to enhance learning and experience exchange in graphic art creation in particular and the fine arts industry in general.

With thoughtful, grand organization and effective coordination from related units, this exhibition is not only an art event but also a symbol of the creative spirit and solidarity of graphic arts in ASEAN countries.

The exhibition is open to visitors until December 20, 2024.
