Today's domestic coffee price on December 8 is at 123,000 - 124,000 VND/kg. It continues to increase sharply for the third consecutive day from 3,500 to 4,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak increased by 4,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,000 VND/kg.

Coffee prices today in Lam Dong also increased by 3,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 123,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, today's coffee price in Gia Lai increased by 4,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,000 VND/kg.

Coffee prices today in Dak Nong remain at their highest level, up 3,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,000 VND/kg.

The 2024-2025 coffee crop is entering its peak period, with about 25%-30% of the output having been harvested. However, only 10% of the output has been sold due to complex price fluctuations in the market. According to analysts' forecasts, about 50% of the output will be harvested in December 2024.

Some major exporters such as Simexco DakLak and other businesses have reduced their interest in participating in the market amid slowing consumption demand.

To maintain operations, businesses need a large amount of capital, estimated at about 2 billion USD to buy about 30% of the early-season coffee output in Vietnam.

World coffee prices today

At the end of the most recent trading session, the price of Robusta coffee in London for November 2024 delivery increased by 258 USD/ton compared to yesterday, at 5,153 USD/ton, and for January 2025 delivery increased by 243 USD/ton compared to yesterday, at 5,116 USD/ton.

Arabica coffee prices for December 2024 delivery increased by 16.75 cents/lb compared to yesterday, at 330.25 cents/lb, and for March 2025 delivery increased by 16.30 cents/lb compared to yesterday, at 327.60 cents/lb.

Faced with unpredictable developments in the coffee market, businesses need to focus on risk management and ensuring safety in business operations at the end of the year.

With coffee prices continuously reaching new peaks and output estimated at 1.6-1.8 million tons/year, the value of Vietnam's coffee industry has surpassed the 8 billion USD mark, affirming its important position in the international market.
