Timely verification of car driver recklessly overtaking on N5 road
Receiving information from Nghe An Newspaper, based on verification, on December 9, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, under the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) invited the driver of a car who recklessly overtook on N5 Road, causing danger to other vehicles, to come for handling.
Accordingly, the driver of the car who recklessly overtook was Tran Van T. (born in 1988, residing in Hien Son commune, Do Luong district).
Along with admitting the violation at 1:43 p.m. on December 5, 2024, on Highway N5 through Nghi Lam Commune, Nghi Loc District, the driver was aware of his behavior and promised not to repeat the offense.
Currently, Traffic Police Team No. 2 has drawn up a record to handle the violation according to the provisions of the law.
Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported the situation recorded by a dash cam of a vehicle traveling on N5 Road, at 1:43 p.m. on December 5. Despite many vehicles traveling in the opposite direction, the Toyota car, with license plate 37A - 441.70, still tried to overtake the HOWO car in front and went in the opposite direction.
The unexpected situation forced vehicles in the correct lane to swerve to the side to avoid an accident.
The image, after being posted on social networks, made many people angry, saying that this behavior not only seriously violated the Road Traffic Law, but also endangered other vehicles participating in traffic on the route.
