The result of the Vietnam national team in the match against Laos national team was not beyond previous predictions. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team won with a score of 4-1 and had a comfortable game in the last 30 minutes of the second half.
Despite the victory, the Vietnamese team still has many things to improve. First is concentration. Truong Tien Anh made a wrong pass in the first half but fortunately Thanh Chung was able to correct the mistake in time.
Towards the end of the match, goalkeeper Dinh Trieu subjectively passed the ball, forcing Duy Manh to clear the ball, leading to a penalty. If facing tougher opponents, the Vietnamese team could have paid a heavy price for lack of concentration like Truong Tien Anh or Dinh Trieu.
Coach Kim Sang-sik will have 6 days to prepare before the next match against Indonesia at home on December 15.
Indonesia narrowly wins against Myanmar
Indonesia team beat Myanmarin the opening match of Group B of the ASEAN Championship 2024 thanks to a familiar throw-in.
On the evening of December 9 (Hanoi time), the Myanmar team welcomed Indonesia at home. Because they only brought a squad consisting mainly of young players to the tournament, the archipelago team faced many difficulties against the host team Myanmar.

The fact that most of the Indonesian players participating in the 2024 ASEAN Cup lack experience playing for the national team makes coach Shin Tae-yong's worries come true.
Despite their decline in recent years, Myanmar played confidently and did not hesitate to attack Indonesia. If they had finished better and had more luck, the home team could have opened the scoring. However, their lack of experience and class caused Myanmar to miss many opportunities in the first half.
In the second half, the familiar pillars of the Indonesian team, such as defender Pratama Arhan or Asnawi Mangkualam, showed their value and class. In the 76th minute, from a difficult throw-in by Pratama Arhan, the Indonesian team finally opened the score.
Indonesia won 1-0 in the opening match of ASEAN Championship 2024.
Leon Goretzka's move to Man United is over

Leon Goretzka is determined to stay at Bayern at least until the end of the season despite not being given many opportunities to play for the German Gray Tigers. Moreover, many big clubs in Europe also want the signature of the midfielder born in 1995.
This season, Goretzka has only played 13 matches in all competitions, mostly from the bench. In the way coach Vincent Kompany operates, the German international no longer plays an important role as he did a few seasons ago. Up to now, he has only played 8 times in the Bundesliga.
Leon Goretzka's current contract with Bayern Munich runs until June 2026. Therefore, the price to recruit this player will not be too high. Man United, Tottenham and Napoli are all keen to activate the deal in January but need to wait for the nod from the 29-year-old star.

PGMOL confirmed: "Following a thorough investigation, David Coote's employment has been terminated with immediate effect. His conduct was a serious breach of the terms of his contract and we are unable to retain his position."
Despite being fired, PGMOL affirmed that it will still support Coote in personal matters and ensure his rights, and Coote has the right to appeal this decision.

In a personal statement, Coote said: "I completely deny the allegations of defamation. No matter how difficult it is, I have always maintained fairness and honesty when officiating matches."
Referee Coote is under investigation by the PGMOL, the Football Association (FA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The PGMOL suspended Coote after a video went viral on social media, showing him using insulting and abusive language towards coach Jurgen Klopp.
The SunHe later released another video showing Coote using a white powder in his hotel room while on duty at Euro 2024. He was also suspected of betting after discussing with a friend about being booked before and after matches.
