A man in Nghe An was fined 46 million VND for causing an accident after drinking alcohol.
Driving a car on the wrong side of the road causing a traffic accident, the alcohol test result exceeded 0.4 milligrams/liter of breath, a man in Tan Ky district was fined 46 million VND.
Standing Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed a decision to administratively sanction Mr. NVP (born in 1972), residing in Tan An commune, Tan Ky district.
Decision No. 188/QD-XPHC dated December 12 clearly stated that Mr. NVP committed 2 administrative violations:
First act, Mr. NVP drove a car with license plate 37C - 473.xx on the road with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams/liter of breath (test result 0.417 milligrams/liter of breath).
Accordingly, Mr. NVP was fined VND 35 million, as stipulated in Point a, Clause 10, Article 5, Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government; Clause 4, Article 23 of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations (amended and supplemented in 2020). At the same time, Mr. NVP was deprived of the right to use a Class C driving license for a period of 23 months from the effective date of the Decision on sanction.
The second act, Mr. NVP drove the car on the wrong side of the road, causing a traffic accident. For this act, Mr. NVP was fined 11 million VND, as stipulated in Point a, Clause 7, Article 5, Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government.
Thus, with 2 violations, Mr. NVP must pay a fine of 46 million VND.
