Vinh City announced the establishment of 6 administrative units and Party organizations in new wards.
On the morning of December 20, Vinh City held a ceremony to announce the establishment of administrative units and Party organizations of new wards along with the Decision of the Vinh City Party Committee Standing Committee on personnel work.
Attending the announcement ceremony were comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Duc Dong - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; comrades: Nguyen Viet Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs and Le Van Linh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee.
Announcing the establishment of 6 new wards
At the announcement ceremony, Vinh city announced the decision to establish 4 new wards. Including: establishing Hung Dong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.42 km2 and population of 17,784 people of Hung Dong commune; establishing Hung Loc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.72 km2 and population of 26,321 people of Hung Loc commune; establishing Nghi Phu ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.47 km2 and population of 25,032 people of Nghi Phu commune; establishing Nghi Duc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 5.69 km2 and population of 9,365 people of Nghi Duc commune.
Along with that, Vinh city also announced the decision to establish 2 new wards.
Establish Vinh Tan ward (new) on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 0.50 km2and the population of 8,692 people of Hong Son ward into Vinh Tan ward. Currently, Vinh Tan ward (new) has a natural area of 5.54 km2and the population is 32,157 people.
Establish Quang Trung ward (new) on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 0.67 km2, population size of 12,618 people of Doi Cung ward and total natural area of 0.87 km2, the population of 13,713 people of Le Mao ward into Quang Trung ward. Currently, Quang Trung ward (new) has a natural area of 2.12 km2and population size 38,511 people.
Establish 2 party committees and rename 4 party committees
Vinh City Party Committee announced the Decision to establish the Quang Trung Ward Party Committee (new) on the basis of merging 19 Party cells under the Quang Trung Ward Party Committee; 16 Party cells under the Le Mao Ward Party Committee and 14 Party cells under the Doi Cung Ward Party Committee.
Thus, at the time of merger, the Quang Trung Ward Party Committee (new) had 49 subordinate Party cells and 1,911 Party members. The new term of the Quang Trung Ward Party Committee (new) is the 2020-2025 term.
The Quang Trung Ward Party Committee (new) officially came into operation from December 21, 2024. The Le Mao Ward Party Committee and the Doi Cung Ward Party Committee ceased their operations from December 20, 2024.
Vinh City Party Committee announced the Decision to establish the Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee (new) on the basis of merging 22 Party cells under the Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee and 15 Party cells under the Hong Son Ward Party Committee.
Thus, at the time of merger, Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee (new) had 37 subordinate Party cells; 1,036 Party members. The new term of Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee (new) is the 2020-2025 term.
The Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee (new) officially came into operation from December 21, 2024. Accordingly, the Hong Son Ward Party Committee ceased its operation from December 20, 2024.
Vinh City Party Committee also announced the Decision to change the name of Hung Dong Commune Party Committee to Hung Dong Ward Party Committee; change the name of Hung Loc Commune Party Committee to Hung Loc Ward Party Committee; change the name of Nghi Phu Commune Party Committee to Nghi Phu Ward Party Committee; and change the name of Nghi Duc Commune Party Committee to Nghi Duc Ward Party Committee.
Vinh City Party Committee announced the Decision to appoint the Party Executive Committee consisting of 32 comrades, the Standing Committee consisting of 11 comrades, the Secretary and 4 Deputy Secretaries of the Quang Trung Ward Party Committee (new). At the same time, it announced the Decision of Vinh City Party Committee to appoint the Party Executive Committee of Vinh Tan Ward (new) consisting of 23 comrades, the Standing Committee consisting of 9 comrades, the Secretary and 3 Deputy Secretaries of the Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee (new).
Focus on stabilizing the organization and getting down to work right away
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, comrade Tran Ngoc Tu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee affirmed the great efforts and determination of each commune, ward and Vinh city, together with provincial and central departments and branches in completing the work contents according to the Central's policy of arranging administrative units in Vinh city.
The Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee also emphasized the requirement that newly established and renamed Party committees and organizations proactively assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that the apparatus can operate immediately and effectively.
Focus on building internal solidarity, doing a good job of ideological work, creating a common consensus in terms of awareness and action for the Party's major policy on administrative unit arrangement; pay attention to renewing thinking, new approaches in leadership, direction, and operation, ensuring higher development after merging administrative units and establishing wards.
The immediate task is to direct the review of socio-economic, national defense-security, and Party building targets for the 2020-2025 term as well as the city's major policies and tasks to direct resolutely and complete them at the highest level. At the same time, proactively and immediately start preparing for Party congresses at all levels according to schedule and regulations and requirements of the Party; deploy activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring, creating a new competitive atmosphere and motivation in the next stage.
