Striker Nguyen Xuan Son confidently scored a hat trick against Myanmar
Sharing at the press conference before the match against Myanmar, striker Nguyen Xuan Son showed great determination, he also confidently said he will score a hat trick in tomorrow's match.
Tomorrow, December 21, striker Nguyen Xuan Son will officially be eligible to play for the Vietnam national team after meeting the 5-year stay and work requirements as required by FIFA. This is also the day the Vietnam national team will host Myanmar at Viet Tri Stadium in Group B of the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, striker Nguyen Xuan Son said: "Our goal is to win to get a ticket to the ASEAN Cup semi-finals. I think a lot about tomorrow's match. I just want to get on the field and play right away.
I am very happy to receive the support of fans, the coaching staff and my teammates," Nguyen Xuan Son said about his feelings before his official debut for the Vietnam team.
When asked how he would celebrate scoring for Vietnam in the match against Myanmar, the 27-year-old striker said: "It's true that I have thought about how I would celebrate if I score my first goal for Vietnam. It would be a special memory for me, but I haven't thought about it yet."
Xuan Son affirmed that he will be able to sing the Vietnamese National Anthem in the first match: "I am confident that I can sing the Vietnamese National Anthem well. I practice speaking Vietnamese every day. I also receive a lot of support from everyone in communication, so that is not an obstacle."
Talking about his goal in tomorrow's match with Myanmar, Xuan Son confidently said: "I will score 3 goals."
