In the Captain's Race, two captains team up to compete against each other, who are the other pair of captains. Each team also features a beautiful female vocalist from Season 1.

Among the highlights was the vocal competition between team captains Thieu Bao Tram and Kieu Anh, and Toc Tien and Chau Tuyet Van. All three female singers transformed into rebellious brides, yet carrying deep emotions within them.

Thieu Bao Tram made a strong impression visually; however, her singing voice was somewhat overshadowed when sharing the stage with two powerful vocalists, the traditional singers Kieu Anh and Phuong Vy.

Sharing her thoughts on the performance, Thieu Bao Tram said:Three girls tell three different stories. The emotions are sometimes raw, painful, and overwhelming. These are genuine feelings within ourselves. Sometimes we need to confront those emotions."

Facing off against Thiều Bảo Trâm's team were Tóc Tiên, Giang Hồng Ngọc, and Châu Tuyết Vân. Tóc Tiên shared more about her connection with this song:"I really like Da LAB's songs because they're strong in terms of lyrics. I was already thrilled when I was invited to collaborate with them, so now that they've recreated it and presented a different version, I'm even more excited. Especially verses 1 and 2, the X-part has been completely rewritten!"The singer was excited to finally sing the part she had kept secret for the past 3 or 4 years.

Giang Hong Ngoc was worried, as a singer of sentimental songs, about whether she would be suited to this song. With encouragement from Toc Tien, Giang Hong Ngoc felt more confident and reassured. The female singer also felt that Chau Tuyet Van's participation on the vocal stage was beyond her capabilities."Ngoc thought it was too much for her! But through the meetings and auditions, Ngoc saw something very admirable about Chau Tuyet Van: she always tries her best!"

Tóc Tiên thrilled the audience by bringing back the X-part that had taken social media by storm a few years ago. Tóc Tiên and Giang Hồng Ngọc continuously conquered high notes while Châu Tuyết Vân showcased her drumming skills. Tóc Tiên, Hứa Kim Tuyền, and the music production team created the X-part for this performance.

“This is probably the first time a song has featured so many sofas on stage. These sofas symbolize the loneliness of a woman in love. With this theme, ‘Mộc’ (meaning 'simple' or ‘simple’) in the minds of the three sisters is about reminiscing about past relationships.”- Toc Tien shared her thoughts on the idea behind the performance.

Giang Hong Ngoc revealed that an image of her sitting on a sofa while heartbroken was used by Toc Tien as inspiration for her stage design. Chau Tuyet Van shared that she had to learn to play the drums for two weeks. This was also Toc Tien's idea. The female singer also recreated an image of herself heartbroken 10 years ago with short hair and red lipstick – an image that many viewers loved.
