Selling cheap fertilizers online is a scam.
On December 24th, the Investigation Police Department of Yen Thanh District (Nghe An Province) initiated a criminal case and indicted Le Nhat Anh for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
Previously, from October 2024 to the present, through intelligence gathering, the Yen Thanh District Police discovered that in Nghe An province, several people had been defrauded by a Facebook account named Imported Fertilizers (a company importing, producing, and distributing Potassium, DAP, Urea, NPK fertilizers, etc.) through the sale of cheap agricultural fertilizers. In response to this situation, the district police established a special investigation to combat the fraud.
Through investigation, the Special Task Force determined that the Facebook account named Imported Fertilizers belonged to Le Nhat Anh (born in 1996, residing in Vinh Hung district, Long An province), who was engaged in the business of selling fertilizer products. Using the tactic of offering cheap fertilizers, after receiving money via bank transfer from victims, the suspect disappeared without delivering the goods as promised.
On December 16th, the task force apprehended the suspect while he was hiding in Tan An city, Long An province. At the investigative agency, Le Nhat Anh confessed that due to business losses, he had taken advantage of the trust of former customers (with whom he had previously conducted transactions) to defraud them of their assets.
Initially, the investigating agency determined that the amount of money this suspect embezzled was over 1 billion VND.
