Pig price in the Northern region
The price of live pigs today, December 25, 2024, in the Northern region recorded no price adjustment as yesterday, December 24. Currently, Northern traders are purchasing live pigs at around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
In particular, today many provinces recorded transactions at 69,000 VND/kg, including: Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc and Nam Dinh, Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang and Thai Binh.
The remaining localities in the region have common live pig prices ranging from 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Central Highlands region
Pig price today, December 25, 2024, in the Central Highlands region recorded a slight increase in the two provinces of Khach Hoa and Dak Lak, with pig prices reaching 65,000 VND/kg and 68,000 VND/kg, respectively.
In particular, Dak Lak has had a continuous increase in live pig prices in the past few days, along with Thanh Hoa, which has the highest price in the region at 68,000 VND/kg.
Currently, traders in the Central Highlands are purchasing live pigs at around 64,000 - 68,000 VND/kg. The price of live pigs is commonly trading at 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg in the provinces and cities in this region.
In which, Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Nghe An provinces all reached the threshold of 67,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Southern region
Similarly, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (December 25, 2024) recorded price fluctuations in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, all increasing by VND 1,000/kg to VND 68,000/kg. This is also the highest price of live pigs in this region.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 63,000 and 68,000 VND/kg. Of which, Kien Giang, Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces still maintain the lowest price in the region at 63,000 VND/kg.

In general, pig prices today continued to increase in the Central Highlands and the South, while prices in the North remained stable after many consecutive days of price increases.
According to a survey, the price of live pigs nationwide is commonly fluctuating from 63,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
In Uong Bi City, the livestock and poultry herd is currently maintained and developing stably again with about 345,000 poultry, 1,200 buffalo, 1,300 cows and about 9,700 pigs, according to Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper.
It is known that in order to quickly overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 Yagi on the agricultural sector, Uong Bi City has issued three support decisions with an amount of about 2.26 billion VND for the fields of cultivation, livestock and aquaculture. Together with the locality, CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company has supported local people with 10,000 breeding chickens, 2.5 tons of animal feed and many biological products.
Mr. Trieu Phi Long, Head of the Economic Department of Uong Bi City, shared that the locality recommends that people pay attention to choosing breeds of clear origin, caring for and raising them carefully, ensuring adequate food and nutrition for the livestock and vaccinating them according to regulations.
With careful care and technical assurance, the livestock and poultry in Uong Bi City are expected to export about 3,400 tons of various types of meat to the market at the end of this year.
