Summoned young man violating traffic safety through camera system
Through the intelligent security camera surveillance system (AI), the Provincial Police Command Information Center promptly tracked and provided image data to Vinh City Police (Nghe An) to quickly clarify and summon the young man who violated the Law on Traffic Safety and Order.
Nghe An Police have installed 600 cameras at more than 190 locations, spread across Vinh City. The installation of the camera system has met the requirements of modernizing patrolling, controlling, detecting and handling many violations when participating in traffic and situations related to security and order.
For example, at around 8:30 p.m. on December 23, 2024, while performing a task of handling a special topic on alcohol and drug concentration in the Quang Trung area, the Traffic Police - Order Team (CSGT-TT) of Vinh City Police discovered a young man driving a motorbike with signs of violating the Law on Traffic Safety and Order, so they signaled to stop the vehicle for an administrative check. However, this person did not comply with the traffic police's command but increased the speed and ran away.
Regarding the above incident, the Traffic Police of Vinh City Police coordinated with the Provincial Police Command Information Center to extract data from surveillance cameras on the roads and identified the young man who violated the law as Cu Minh Hung (born in 1993), residing in Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city.
Immediately after that, the Traffic Police - Traffic Police Department of Vinh City Police summoned Cu Minh Hung to work on 4 violations: Not obeying traffic light signals; not obeying traffic control signals, not having a driver's license, not having a vehicle registration. The young man was aware of his illegal behavior. The Traffic Police - Traffic Police Department of Vinh City Police completed the file to handle the young man according to the provisions of the law.
In the coming time, the police force will effectively exploit the surveillance camera data system, thereby detecting and recording violations, serving the investigation work. In addition, it will increase the reception of information and images of violations provided by people and management agencies as a basis for "cold" penalties. Through this, it will change and raise people's awareness of obeying the law in general and obeying the law when participating in traffic in particular.
