According to RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not have many Oreshnik systems, but this type of missile does exist.

“We don’t have that many Oreshnik missile systems yet, but we do have them. And we are in no hurry to use them, because they are powerful and designed to solve certain problems,” President Putin said.

The Russian leader noted that mass production of the Oreshnik system has begun and the required quantity will be produced.

“We will put something in Belarus. We act systematically, but we do not exclude the possibility of using it today or tomorrow, if the need arises,” Putin added.

Commenting on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's statement about the possibility of being supplied with 10 Oreshnik systems by Moscow, Russian President Putin responded: "Well, 10 are up to you."

In response, President Lukashenko believes that “there are reserves”. And both leaders laughed.

In early December, in a statement following a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President Lukashenko asked President Putin to deploy the latest Russian weapons, including the Oreshnik system, on the territory of Belarus. The Russian leader replied that he believed that the Oreshnik could be deployed in the republic in the second half of 2025.
