MU targets Andreas Christensen to strengthen their defense.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is struggling to stabilize the team's defensive system.

Manchester United are currently among the teams with the most goals conceded in the Premier League, partly due to the declining form of Lisandro Martinez and the uncertainty surrounding veteran centre-backs like Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans.
In an effort to improve, Andreas Christensen – the Barcelona centre-back and former Chelsea player – has been added to Manchester United's priority list, according to The Mirror.
Christensen, born in 1996, is a highly experienced and skilled central defender. He excelled at Chelsea, particularly in the 3-4-3 system under Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel. The Danish player is known for his ability to read the game, win aerial duels, and his versatility, being able to play effectively as both a wide center-back and a central defender.
Christensen's Champions League victory in 2020/21 with Chelsea is the clearest evidence of his talent. If he joins Old Trafford, he would be a crucial addition, especially in set-piece situations – a long-standing weakness for Manchester United.
Christensen joined Barcelona from Chelsea, but his career at Camp Nou hasn't gone as expected. Frequent injuries and a tight wage bill have led the Catalan club to consider selling him in the upcoming transfer window.
However, convincing Christensen will not be easy. He has not expressed any intention to leave Barcelona, and with his current high salary, MU will need to make a truly attractive offer to secure the Danish defender's signature.
If successful, the Christensen deal could be a crucial piece for manager Ruben Amorim to complete his defensive system and effectively implement the 3-4-3 formation at MU. However, competition from other teams and negotiations with Barcelona promise to be challenging.
Given the current situation, the upcoming January transfer window will be an opportunity for MU to demonstrate their determination to improve their squad and return to the top of the Premier League.
