Vinh City plans to complete Ly Thuong Kiet Street extension before Lunar New Year
Despite the disadvantages of the site and weather, the contractor and related units are making efforts to complete and hand over the Ly Thuong Kiet extended road project before the Lunar New Year 2025.

The Ly Thuong Kiet extended road project, from Nguyen Van Cu intersection to the intersection with Le Loi street in Hung Binh ward, has a total length of nearly 1.1 km.
About 700 m from the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu Street to the intersection with Nguyen Xuan On Street was completed in early 2024. However, the remaining nearly 400 m from the intersection with Nguyen Xuan On Street to the intersection with Le Loi Street was delayed due to difficulties in site clearance and weak roadbed.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phong - Director of Vinh City Construction Investment Project Management Board said that currently, nearly 400m from Nguyen Duc Canh intersection to the intersection with National Highway 1A Le Loi Street has been tested; the lighting system infrastructure is basically completed. The sidewalks on both sides of the road are being constructed and installed with sidewalk curbs...
There is currently a household in Tan Yen block that is obstructing the construction and must wait for the Court's resolution due to a land dispute complaint. However, the Project Management Board is directing and urging contractors to come up with construction plans and complete the handover of this project right before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 to serve urban beautification, helping people travel conveniently.

A representative of the Vinh City Construction Investment Project Management Board said: To ensure traffic safety and prevent congestion, the extended Ly Thuong Kiet Street is designed to have 3 traffic light clusters. Of which, 2 clusters at the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu and Nguyen Duc Canh streets have been completed, while the cluster at the intersection with Le Loi Street is being surveyed and planned.
