In harsh weather conditions, with waves 3-4 m high combined with strong winds and rain, on January 10-11, the working delegation of the Naval Region 3 Command and representatives of localities and accompanying units made efforts to carry out many meaningful activities to bring a warm Tet to soldiers and people of Con Co Island (Quang Tri Province) and Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai Province).

Towards the "green pearl"

Considered the "green pearl" of Quang Tri province, Con Co island plays the role of both an outpost protecting national sovereignty and one of the rare beautiful islands of the Central region.

Towards the soldiers and people on Con Co Island, on January 10, Ship 390 - Navy Region 3 transported the working group and Tet gifts to the area near Con Co Island. However, the weather was volatile, with the North to Northwest wind increasing to level 2-3, coastal areas to level 3-4, with rain and scattered thunderstorms, making it impossible for the working group to reach the island.

In the conditions of high waves combined with strong winds and rain, transporting goods encountered many difficulties. After more than an hour, the gift boxes and necessities were moved to the fishing boat. However, despite great efforts, the ladder for the delegates to get down to the fishing boat was not successful.

To ensure safety, the delegation commander decided to organize a New Year's greeting program connecting directly with officers and soldiers on Con Co island district.
