The Department of Culture and Society, the Provincial People's Council presented Tet gifts and supported housing construction for the poor in Tuong Duong district.

On January 14, the Department of Culture - Society, the Provincial People's Council and accompanying units organized a program to visit and give gifts for the Lunar New Year 2025 and support the construction of houses for the poor for units and people in Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district.

Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Chu Duc Thai - Head of the Department of Culture and Society, Provincial People's Council, and a number of accompanying units.

On the side of Tuong Duong district, there were comrades: Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Lu Van May - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tuong Duong district, along with a large number of people and students in Tam Hop commune.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Post, officers and youth union members at the 9th Youth Volunteer Corps; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nhu Khoi highly appreciated the results that officers, soldiers and youth union members have achieved in the past time.

On the occasion of the New Year and the Lunar New Year 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nhu Khoi wished all officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Post and youth union members of Youth Volunteer Corps 9 good health, happiness, and excellent completion of tasks in 2025.

Also in the program, the Department of Culture - Society and the Provincial People's Council coordinated with Nghe An Radio and Television Station; Vietnam - Korea Technical - Industrial College; Kim Long Trading and Technology Co., Ltd.; Hoang Gia Phat Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company to organize the giving of Tet gifts for the Year of the Snake 2025 and support the construction of houses for the poor for units and people in Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district.

Accordingly, the delegation presented 130 gifts to students and families in difficult circumstances in Tam Hop commune (of which 130 gifts were sponsored by Kim Long Trading & Technology Co., Ltd., Vietnam - Korea Technical - Industrial College, Hoang Gia Phat Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and 130 warm blankets were sponsored by the Compassionate Heart Club).

During the day, the delegation also donated 2 houses of gratitude to 2 poor households with the amount of 60 million VND/household; presented gifts from the program "Accompanying children to school" to 10 students in difficult circumstances, including 10 bicycles, 10 warm blankets and 1.5 tons of sticky rice to schools in Tam Hop commune. The total value of the program was nearly 300 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council affirmed that in recent years, the Party and the State have regularly paid attention to and done well the work of taking care of the lives of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, the poor, and people in difficult circumstances, especially during the Tet holiday. At the same time, they have encouraged and shared the difficulties in the lives of ethnic minorities. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested local Party committees, authorities, and organizations to continue to pay attention to ensuring the lives and learning conditions of students and families in difficult circumstances, especially during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
