Leaders of press agencies, journalists and reporters also highly appreciated the leadership, direction and administration of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; at the same time, congratulated the outstanding results and positive achievements of Nghe An in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, Party building and the political system of the province in 2024 and the recent past.

Journalists and reporters also sincerely thank the companionship, encouragement, support, and assistance of provincial leaders, departments, branches, and localities of the province so that press agencies and offices can operate effectively, work smoothly, and provide complete and timely information.

Exchanging and sharing issues in press activities in the area, leaders of press agencies, journalists and reporters proposed that in the coming time, provincial leaders, departments, branches and localities continue to accompany more, especially paying attention to providing official, complete and timely information to press agencies, journalists and reporters.

The press actively contributes to the development of Nghe An

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung briefly informed about the outstanding and positive results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, Party building and the political system of the province in the context of many difficulties and challenges in 2024.

In 2024, the province has completed and exceeded 27/28 main socio-economic targets. GRDP growth rate reached 9.01%. Budget revenue reached 25,517 billion VND. Foreign direct investment attraction reached nearly 1.75 billion USD, the third consecutive year in the top 10 of the country in attracting FDI.

The fields of new rural construction, culture - society, and social security continue to receive attention and achieve many positive results. The province has mobilized, built, and repaired 12,067 houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties. National defense and security continue to be maintained, social order and safety are guaranteed.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the above results were achieved with the participation and very important contributions of press agencies, journalists and reporters working in the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that press agencies, journalists and reporters in the province are agencies, organizations and individuals with professional journalistic qualifications and capabilities. Nghe An press has closely followed reality, done a good job of propaganda, and is a bridge of information between the Party Committee, the government and the people.

Provincial and central press agencies located in the area have fully disseminated guidelines, orientations, mechanisms and policies to implement socio-economic development goals, ensure national defense and security, build the Party and the political system of the province.

In addition, it reflects fully, promptly, deeply, and closely the situation of the province in all fields. Many news, articles, and reports demonstrate the dedication of journalists and reporters in times of natural disaster prevention, storms, floods, epidemics, and current and hot issues; spreading good information and images of the province, creating a positive effect on investors about the province's investment environment.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also highly appreciated the critical role of the press agencies, which is very frank and responsible in fighting against false information, negative issues, shortcomings and limitations in the leadership and management of Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Press agencies, journalists and reporters have organized many cultural and sports activities, especially actively participating in social security work with a total amount of over 24 billion VND. In the context that Nghe An is a province with many difficulties, the lives of a part of the people are still lacking, this contribution is even more meaningful.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee said that, in recent times, Nghe An press has affirmed its position as press in Uncle Ho's homeland, demonstrated by receiving many awards from the Central and the province.

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung respectfully acknowledged, warmly commended and thanked the contributions of press agencies, journalists and reporters who have actively accompanied the development of the province in recent times.

The press needs to promote combativeness, sharing and professionalism.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a special year, with many important political events of the country, this is also the last year of the term, organizing Party congresses at all levels, implementing key tasks and key projects, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that, identifying the responsibility to participate in the common development of the country, Nghe An province strives for double-digit growth.

Nghe An has the basis to achieve this goal, from the special mechanisms and policies that the Central Government has given to the province; the openness of the law when it has been revised and removed by the Central Government; from the resources that the province has attracted in the past time, such as the results of attracting and disbursing FDI capital.

In addition, the province will continue to promote administrative reform, enhance digital transformation, improve the investment environment, thereby promoting the development of provincial and domestic enterprises operating in the area.

Nghe An province will also continue to devote resources to caring for poor households, especially disadvantaged households, and vulnerable groups; build many livelihood models, attract many projects to solve employment, thereby improving people's lives and income.

Based on that orientation and goal, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung hopes that in 2025, press agencies will continue to promote the achieved results, continue to accompany the province to fully, comprehensively, multi-dimensionally, quickly and promptly propagate the province's policies, guidelines and development orientations.

Press agencies and journalists need to continue to operate in accordance with their principles and goals, maintain discipline, and improve professionalism and professional ethics. The press also needs to promote the communication power of revolutionary journalism.

In particular, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung hopes and requests the press to promote fighting spirit for the development of the country and locality; fight against wrongdoings and negativity; fight to bring a better life to society and people.

At the same time, the press needs to promote sharing, especially spreading positive information, good people, good deeds, good and effective models, creating motivation for people to rise up. Regarding the recommendations of press agencies, journalists and reporters, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed his commitment that the provincial leaders will continue to accompany, care for and share in the activities of press agencies.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that leaders, especially heads of departments, branches, localities and units, pay attention to, share, support and create favorable conditions for press agencies, journalists and reporters in the process of working and providing information. On the other hand, press agencies, journalists and reporters also need to operate in a way that ensures legitimacy and compliance with regulations.

Regarding issues reported by the press, departments, branches, localities and units must respond and resolve them promptly; existing problems and limitations need to be learned from and completely overcome. In the coming time, provincial leaders will increase meetings, exchanges, and sharing with press agencies, journalists and reporters.
