Mr. To Doan Hai's family in Hamlet 1, Minh Thanh commune, expects to sell 100 peach blossom trees this Tet, averaging 400,000 VND per tree, earning 40 million VND. Mr. Toan, a trader in Vinh City, said that to have enough peach blossom trees (over 500 trees) for one truckload, he needs to purchase them for 2-3 days. According to Mr. Toan, the price of peach blossom trees for Tet this year is slightly higher than last year. Currently, the entire district has about 300 hectares of peach blossoms, with the largest concentrated area in Kim Thanh commune with nearly 30 hectares, followed by Minh Thanh. This year, the price of peach blossoms is higher than last year, but many orchards cannot sell their peaches because they were not ready for Tet (Lunar New Year). Thanks to the peach blossom cultivation for Tet, people in Yen Thanh earn billions of dong each year-end." (Photo: Xuan Hoang)
