The Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee
On the afternoon of January 22, on the occasion of celebrating the Party and the Spring of At Ty 2025, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
The delegation was led by Priest Giuse Phan Van Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee.
Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council received the delegation. Also attending were Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.
Also attending were representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
In a friendly, warm and close atmosphere, Father Giuse Phan Van Thang congratulated the achievements of Nghe An province in 2024; at the same time, thanked the provincial Party Committee and government for always creating conditions and supporting the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee to successfully complete its tasks; thereby gathering, organizing, guiding and encouraging Catholic compatriots in the province to live a good life and a good religion as the teachings of Pope Benedict XVI "A good Catholic is also a good citizen".
Wishing the province to continue to achieve many achievements in all fields in the new year of At Ty 2025, Father Giuse Phan Van Thang affirmed that the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee and Catholics will continue to promote the achieved results, contributing to the cause of building and developing the province.
Expressing his joy at welcoming the delegation of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee to visit and extend New Year greetings on the occasion of the nation's traditional New Year, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province Hoang Nghia Hieu announced some key features of the province's socio-economic development in 2024 with many outstanding results, reaching new milestones.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also informed the priests and members of the delegation about activities to care for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year, especially caring for poor households.
Up to now, through the program "Nghia dong Lam - Xuan At Ty 2025", the province has received a contribution of 147.35 billion VND. This mobilized source has been transferred to the grassroots in time, handed to the people, so that poor households have more conditions to prepare for Tet early. In addition, from this source, the province will also arrange to build houses for poor households and build livelihood models to help poor households escape poverty sustainably.
The results of socio-economic development, national defense and security assurance, Party building, and political system building in 2024 with many bright spots have consolidated and strengthened people's trust in the Party and authorities at all levels; creating position and strength for the province to carry out tasks in 2025, ready to join the whole country in entering a new era - the era of national growth.
Having achieved that result, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee; through its activities, it has promoted the spirit of "living the gospel in the heart of the nation to serve the happiness of compatriots", gathering, organizing, guiding, encouraging, propagating, and mobilizing Catholic compatriots to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, joining hands for the development of the province.
In addition, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee is always an important bridge to gather and reflect the aspirations, rights and legitimate interests of Catholic compatriots; thereby, Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Fronts at all levels grasp and handle them promptly, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
2025 is the year to organize Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; continue to carry out the revolution in restructuring the apparatus in the direction of "Refined, compact, strong, effective, efficient, effective". This is also the last year of the 2020 - 2025 term, Nghe An province is determined to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, striving to develop the economy quickly and sustainably in the new era of the nation.
The workload is large, the requirements, goals and tasks are very high, but the world and regional situation is forecasted to be complicated, with more difficulties than advantages. Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hopes that the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee will promote the results achieved in its activities, encourage Catholics to continue to accompany, support and contribute to the development of the province, especially in the implementation of key projects, building economic models, social security work... contributing with the political system and the people of the province to build the homeland more and more prosperous and civilized, making Nghe An soon become a well-off province in the Northern region and the whole country.
