These days, people of ethnic minorities in the highlands of Nghe An province are busily decorating their homes and yards to celebrate the Party, the Spring Festival, and the country's renewal. Currently, the central roads of districts and communes, as well as the roads within villages, seem to have donned a new "coat," with Party flags, national flags, banners, and slogans fluttering brightly, ready to welcome the new Spring season.

Along with many other households in the village, every time there's a holiday, Mrs. Lo Thi Lien's family in Khe Chi village, Thach Giam town (Con Cuong district) buys a brand new, bright red flag to hang in front of their house. Mrs. Lien said: "Hanging flags during holidays has become a tradition in the village. Hanging flags shows national pride and teaches children and grandchildren to love their homeland and country." It is known that, starting from the beginning of December 2024, the Department of Culture and Information of Tuong Duong district issued documents, plans, and guidelines for propaganda celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year. Thanks to this, families, agencies, units, and localities proactively implemented propaganda work early. To date, throughout the villages, including the remote areas of the district, flags are brightly displayed to welcome the Year of the Snake (2015). Photo: Dinh Tuan
