Snake mascot to welcome the Year of the Snake 2025 in Vinh City
On the night of January 24th, authorities in Vinh City installed and decorated a snake mascot to welcome the Year of the Snake 2025 at the art flower garden on Ho Tung Mau Street, creating a check-in and entertainment spot for people during Tet.

Many provinces and cities have erected snakes to welcome the new year in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors. In Vinh City, on the night of January 24th (the 25th day of the 12th lunar month), authorities installed a snake mascot in the art garden on Ho Tung Mau Street. This promises to be a highlight for tourism, serving both locals and visitors in the new year.

According to Vinh City Green Park Joint Stock Company – the unit responsible for decorating and installing the snake mascot as well as the flower-lined streets of Vinh City – this year's snake mascot is 4.4 meters tall and approximately 4 meters wide, with two main colors: turquoise and pink. The snake wears a laurel wreath, symbolizing victory, and its smiling mouth expresses happiness. It is known that this snake was created by artisans and designers in Nghe An province over a period of about 10 days.


To erect this snake mascot, workers toiled continuously from the evening of January 24th until around 2 AM on January 25th, encompassing numerous stages including transportation, assembly, and installation of decorative lights. Upon completion, the snake mascot in the art flower garden is expected to be a highlight in the Tet (Lunar New Year) scenery of Vinh City, contributing to tourism development and serving residents and tourists celebrating Tet and welcoming the Spring.
