Recently, singer Ha Anh Tuan shared a touching story about a couple who work as street sweepers that he often meets on New Year's Eve.
According to Ha Anh Tuan, every New Year’s Eve, after going to the pagoda, he visits the street sweeper couple on a deserted street in District 3 to wish them a happy new year and thank them. He always finds them there, simple and always together.
On New Year’s Eve last year, Ha Anh Tuan did not see them at the usual place. When he reached an intersection, he recognized the man in the orange uniform standing in the dark. He got out of the car and asked, and learned that the man’s wife was sick and could not go out. Ha Anh Tuan gave both red envelopes to the man to take home to his wife."Giving you a happy new year means I'm lucky", the male singer confided.
On New Year's Eve this year, Ha Anh Tuan still came to visit. But this time, only his wife was there. When he asked about her husband, she choked up and said that he had passed away not long ago.
