With its enclosed, box-like structure, a car is an ideal breeding ground for mold and bacteria, especially during rainy and humid weather.

Here are some tips for properly caring for your car during the humid rainy season:

Choose a dry parking area.

Choose a clean, dry, and covered parking spot to protect your car from corrosive and oxidizing agents. If the parking area is not covered, you can use a car cover.

Clean the car thoroughly.

Regular car cleaning during rainy and humid days helps slow down the oxidation process. When cleaning at home, pay attention to tidying up items in the interior, using a vacuum cleaner to remove dirt and grime. It's recommended to use specialized car cleaning tools and detergents.

You can place products like essential oils or scented sachets in your car to both absorb moisture and create a pleasant, fresh scent.

After cleaning, use a soft cloth to wipe away dirt, avoiding rough, dry cloths that could scratch the paint. Close the car doors and turn on the air conditioner in Dry mode to remove moisture. Also, turn on the windshield defroster to keep it dry and shiny.

Electrical system maintenance

Electrical wiring and connections also require attention during the rainy season. Humid weather causes exposed wires to oxidize, leading to short circuits and fires.

To prevent this, electrical wires and connections should be insulated, and no additional lights or devices that increase power consumption should be added.

Additionally, car owners should also pay attention to the air filter to ensure better air filtration and dehumidification by the air conditioner, thereby reducing the risk of dampness inside the vehicle.

Do not lower the windows while driving.

If you lower the windows while driving, humid weather and drizzle can easily enter the interior, causing unpleasant odors.

In addition, drivers should turn on the air conditioner in Dry mode to keep the car dry. Avoid using the heating mode as it can cause condensation inside the car.
