Ferdinand suggests Manchester United should sign Pogba for "free".
Former football legend Rio Ferdinand has just made a noteworthy suggestion, proposing that Manchester United should consider signing Paul Pogba, who is currently a free agent.

Ferdinand believes Manchester United should invite Pogba to train at Carrington to reassess the abilities of the former Red Devils player, especially given the team's current shortage of players; giving Pogba a chance to prove himself would not pose any risk.
Pogba is currently sidelined until March due to a doping ban, but he is still eligible to sign and train with a club. According to Ferdinand, Manchester United should take advantage of this opportunity to consider a possible reunion with the French midfielder. Signing Pogba, a free agent, would be particularly well-suited to the left-wing attacking midfield role in Ruben Amorim's current tactical system, as United's attacking options have been significantly weakened by the departures of several players. In any case, money shouldn't be a major concern for the club if both sides agree on a mutually agreeable contract.
In the past, Ferdinand had numerous connections and made statements that helped the Red Devils in the transfer market, but currently, manager Amorim seems less confident in bringing a former Red Devils player back to the club. He consistently shows a firm stance of using and giving opportunities to players who are performing well, rather than relying on those who are not proving their worth, such as Rashford, who was loaned out, or Sancho, who had a significant conflict with the management before being forced to leave Old Trafford on loan last January.
However, a reunion with Pogba has also faced mixed opinions. With his high salary and the drama surrounding him, many experts believe that re-signing Pogba may not truly benefit Manchester United at this time and carries too many risks. Coach Amorim is also unlikely to break his principles and use a player who doesn't fit his tactics, even if it's Pogba. The wage bill, competition among the players, and pent-up expectations are making the chances of this reunion almost zero. This season, Man United is currently 13th in the Premier League table after recent changes on the coaching bench, most notably the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Therefore, in the coming period, even if they want to re-sign a talented player like Pogba, they will have to consider the potential risks to the new stars, the head coach, the management, and the home fans. They need to bring in a team with stars who have the greatest desire to win championships and a more enduring fighting spirit, rather than bringing in stars who are more about fame.
