Tra Vinh establishes two new Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee.
On the afternoon of February 6th, the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to merge the Propaganda Department and the Mass Mobilization Department into the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and to establish the Party Committees of the provincial Party agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, both directly under the Provincial Party Committee.
At the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, announced 11 decisions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on organizational restructuring and personnel work.
Accordingly, the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee decided to terminate the activities of eight Party groups: the Party group of the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Council, the Party group of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh Province, the Party group of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Party group of the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Party group of the Provincial Women's Union, the Party group of the Provincial Veterans' Association, the Party group of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the Party group of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts.
The Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee has decided to terminate the operations of three Party Committees: the Party Committee of the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Procuracy, and the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Court.
The decision is to terminate the operations of the Provincial Committee for the Protection and Care of Cadre Health from February 28, 2025; and to terminate the operations of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc from February 28, 2025.
25 grassroots Party organizations (21 grassroots Party branches, 4 grassroots Party committees with a total of 534 Party members) were transferred to the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies. 46 grassroots Party organizations (14 grassroots Party branches, 32 grassroots Party committees with a total of 5,501 Party members), including 11 grassroots Party organizations in state-owned enterprises with 927 Party members, were transferred to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.
Twelve grassroots Party organizations (9 grassroots Party branches, 3 grassroots Party committees with a total of 282 Party members, including some grassroots Party organizations in State-owned enterprises, enterprises with less than 50% State capital, and private enterprises) were transferred to local authorities.
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Mass Mobilization Department will be merged into the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, effective March 1, 2025.
At the same time, the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee also issued a Decision on the establishment of Party Committees of provincial Party agencies directly under the Provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee established the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies under the Provincial Party Committee, comprising 25 subordinate Party branches, including 21 grassroots Party cells and 4 grassroots Party committees, with a total of 534 Party members. Mr. Lam Minh Dang (Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee) holds the position of Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu (Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department) holds the position of Deputy Secretary; and Ms. To Thi Thu Hong (Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) holds the position of full-time Deputy Secretary. The Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies commenced operations on March 1, 2025.
The Provincial People's Committee Party Committee was established under the Provincial Party Committee, comprising 46 subordinate Party organizations, including 14 grassroots Party branches and 32 grassroots Party committees, with a total of 5,501 Party members. Mr. Le Van Han (Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee) holds the position of Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien (Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee) holds the position of Standing Deputy Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Tam (Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bloc of Agencies and Enterprises) and Mr. Lu Cong Tao (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bloc of Agencies and Enterprises) hold the positions of Deputy Secretaries. The Provincial People's Committee Party Committee commenced operations on March 1, 2025.
