'King of Comedy' Xuan Hinh acts in a movie for the first time at the age of nearly 70
At the age of 65, "Northern comedy king" Xuan Hinh surprised everyone when he tried his hand at cinema; he accepted a role in a movie to be released in 2026.
After more than 40 years of working on the stage, this is the first time Xuan Hinh has participated in a film project. The film is calledThe smell of pho, starring actress Thu Trang, is expected to be released to audiences on the occasion of Tet 2026.

Sharing the reason for accepting to participate in this project, Xuan Hinh said that he felt close and sympathetic to the character so he tried his best for the film. This also comes from the desire to bring a quality work to the audience.
"The King of Northern Comedy" said he liked the movie right from the name:"The smell of pho, just hearing it makes you feel familiar and close. Pho is a national dish, everyone loves it, and I think this movie will be like that too, rich, warm, bringing a feeling of reunion to every family during Tet."

According to artist Xuan Hinh, he participated in the filming for about a month and a half. The post-production phase lasted quite a long time because the crew wanted to bring the most perfect work to the audience.
